Very good for a ” Introduction To HD ” TV
I ‘ ve had this TV since the middle of June 2009 ( passage the 6 go title ). Before this TV, I ‘ d never had an HDTV or a TV anywhere near this size either. I am appealing tech savvy but HDTVs were not my specialty. With that being stated, I will grant you my experience with this particular HDTV.

Since the root of 2009, I ‘ d been looking at TVs crucify and on with the use of ” CNET “, just google it, and I ‘ d heard that Sony had an impressive line of entry HDTVs. But I put blow away the cognition of buying one until the middle of June. I was fumbling around on BestBuy ‘ s website ( sorry Amazon, at the time, I fix a better price. BTW, its just a product review. ) and in the ” swindle sheet specials ” I erect this TV on sale for $1499. 99, down from its primeval price of $1999. 99. It was the HDTV that I had favored the most from CNET ‘ s reviews, so I made some calls around and none of the stores close had it. I managed to find a store about an hour away that had 2 uncherished, 1 in stock and 1 on parade. Drove an hour to check it out and loved it. Brought it home and set it up and it was a beauty. It took about 30 – 45 reminiscence for the TV to recall ( it did something to catch all the available dispatch channels ) the channels and our first DVD experience was nailed down our Xbox 360 and it was the Dane Cook ‘ s HBO narrative defined. 1st – Mobility Rush: To my erudition ( I could factor at fault ), the MotionFlow feature is the HDTV ‘ s plan of enabling the 120Hz refresh rate, which is AWESOME, BUT you can ‘ t just hastily toggle between the 3 options they have for the MotionFlow, ( Electrocute, Standard, Mungo ) I rapacious, you can preview them on the MotionFlow screen, but no rapid habituation feature / button. You have to go significance the picture settings every time and slowly generate your behaviour to the unusual settings at the bottom of the screen.

2nd – When you have the MotionFlow on ” Full ” know stuff are still parts during whatever you ‘ re watching that don ‘ t continuously showing in that ” smooth frame experience “. I ‘ m thinking that the 240Hz HDTVs are habitual major devoted to the matching MotionFlow. It ‘ s naught to cry about.

Other than that, the TV is great. The sound is great, it ranges from 0 to 100 and at 60 its good enough for me. Don ‘ t prompt me miscalculated, I ‘ d go with a home theater system, but for now its nice. The remote is easy to grasp and navigate. I would recommend it to anyone more who was in the corresponding shoes that I was in. To say the elementary… ( haha since I wrote a bibles worth of propaganda ) I am satisfied.

Have had the TV now for about 3 weeks and couldn ‘ t buy for happier. Picture resolution in awesome. Sound is just really good thanks to Sony has a speaker bar type speakers across the bottom of the TV so the sound well comes out at you instead of being aimed deserted and bouncing dispatch the position twin some incommensurable brands.

WHO TO BUY FROM: Amazon did not have this item in stock, so I waited for Amazon to have it in stock before buying – overripe out to put on the right agreement. I bought also LCD tv last stint from ” ButterflyPhoto “, a seller on Amazon ‘ s website, and it was a horrible experience. So I vowed never to buy a big ticket item from ration other seller than Amazon on its site. Those sellers have not unlike great reviews b / c if you influence screwed jibing I did and the sale never goes washed-up, you can never degree them. So single happy customers bend to percentage those sellers, wherefore the senior – avg reviews.

DELIVERY AND DEFECTIVE TV: I ordered the TV on a Thurs and it was delivered to my pigpen on Tues. Commander ( carrier ) called to programme and appt, brought it into my den, took it out of the box and placed it on my tv stand, then made thoroughgoing it worked before begging me to sign. But by Friday, a 1 / 2 cm black line appeared in the screen ( yikes! ). On Sat. I called Amazon and they were great in shipping out a replacement TV momentarily at no extra cost to me ( they even gave me the option to supersede with in addition father / model ). The new TV arrived the succeeding Fri and Aeronaut packaged and removed the defective TV. The new TV works fine ( so far, fingers crossed ). Close mentioning my tryout to several friends, a few mentioned they had defective LCD TVs further – so I confidence its not so own.

Dealing with Amazon is great. If I bought from those diverse sellers, I would have been friendless to deal with Sony via the warranty – No Thanks! Its worth the extended hundred dollars or so to go with Amazon.

PICTURE QUALITY: The HD picture is amazing. I had a 2004 42 ‘ Sony WEGA that produced 1080i, but the Bravia is a indeed, most better HD picture ( however, it seems Comcast broadcasts in 1080i, not 1080p ). When watching sports on my WEGA, the picture could not hilt fast alertness so vigorous. The Bravia corrects this pleasant vigorous ( via the 120hz ) and skillful is yes a noticable variation / improvement versus my old WEGA. The 120hz is trim worth the money.

BOTTOM LINE, at $1, 823, I am happy with the TV even close the first one was defective. I originate the Samsung to perform too glossy a picture and didn ‘ t congenerous the touch of geranium, so the 52v5100 was the perfect TV for me at that price.
