- Is the TV I bought good for gaming and sports?
today i went to walmart and bought a sanyo 50 inch plasma tv 720p Is a plasma and 720p good for my ps3 watching basketball, baseball and Blue ray movies? Should I return this and get a samsung 46 inch 1080p LCD or stay with what I have? I bought this for 780 while the samsung is 990 I wanted the sony 52inch 1080p LCD but it was sold out($1,200), should I wait for that too or no? I play my ps3 more than watching movies. so what should I do?
A Well the PS3 can have a higher resolution at 1080p. So if you bought a 50 inch with a 720p it will still look extremely good but not the best quality that a television with 1080p can give you especially for watching Blu-Ray movies on your PS3. But if you are just watching televisions such as sports and don't use your Blu-Ray than 720p resolution should be adequate. If you have Blu-Ray and plan on watching movie, I would return your television and get the samsung at 1080p. The Sony seems likely the best best if you have room for a 52 inch television and if you can wait.

- Need help setting up my HDTV for Gaming.?
My HDTV is a Sanyo LCD 40xr11f, I recently got it as an upgrade from my 24 inch. http://www.sanyo.com.au/products/tvs-set-top-boxes/lcd-tvs/lcd40xr11f That's it there, basically I need some help calibrating it as I've noticed that when playing both ps3 and Xbox 360 games look a lot jaggier and there is some pixelation. At the moment I am using the "standard" settings (everything is set on 50) Both game consoles are set to 720P as to be honest I didn't see any immediate difference between 720P and 1080P.
A if they are set to HD then set color high and contrast and sharpness. if your tv has an HDMI out I would use those.
