I’ve had my new plasma for a week and I believe I got the best deal out there for a 50″ tv out there. I connected my Directv HD/DVR previously connected to my 32″ Sony LCD and my Panasonic looks great. Can’t wait for football season. I looked at this TV side by side with many others at Best Buy before I made my purchase. It looked not quite as good until I asked the rep for the remote and adjusted the picture. It looks just as good as the 1080s. The settings were different on this, the least expensive model-big suprise! The rep said that unless you have blue-ray AND a larger TV, 1080p is a luxury and an extra unnecessary expense.
I recieved my plama in less than a week, paid no shipping, no taxes, and had it set up on my table top–all for about a hundred less than the cheapest retailer I could find with whome I would have had to pay taxes and delivery and setup. I have an upconverting DVD, not blue-ray so the 790p/1080i is more than fine for me. Movies look great too. (I am not replacing 300+ movies for a format that even the experts have trouble distinguishing from the one on mine. ) The speakers are more than adequate for daily use, but I have a surround system to kick it up a notch when I want it.
My only major concern of course is burn-in, but this plasma has the anti-image retention option. I am also following all the recommendations I have found at various website to be safe anyways.

Good stuff.
Pros:Holds my TV and blends in nicely.
Only problem is the holes in my wall.

I received my package in horrible shape. Upon examining the box I noticed that it was double taped, meaning it must have been opened previously and then returned (who knows why) and repackaged very poorly, and from my bad luck I am the one to get this defective box. I feel very bad, because the reason I bought this item is because it is rated highly by other users.
I feel cheated and deceived. Will never buy from this merchant ever again.
Shame on them for not doing the proper thing and shipping me a new unopened box, or at least a box in good condition.

This company’s customer service called me this morning, and after their fair and quick help, I am now satisfied with this order. I like how this company stands behind their products and help their customers.

Trust me, this item, while it will perform its intended task, is made of light gauge stamped sheet metal. Yes, it will hold an LCD though I will not try since I intend to return the item for a more substantial product.
Do not believe the reviews that declare that this item is well made. Unfortunately, it simply is not a particularly well thought out or robustly made product.

This wall mount is worth every penny. The only downside is that the level that is installed on the mount itself is not really good, but who would use it anyway. The mount is VERY sturdy, and holds my 50″ LCD without a hitch. The tilt feature works fantastic. Also, comes with 99% of the hardware that you need, including the hardware to mount it to the wall. Don’t pass up this great deal.
