Great item at bargain price! Searched a lot of places. Heavy duty – easy install – will last for years to come!

The price on this TV wall mount was too good to pass up, but it is not very sturdy! This mount is barley capable of supporting a 50″ plasma. I am using it now for 4 months, but I worried about it the 1st week. So far it is still holding.

For the price, this is a good product. The build seems plenty strong to carry the indicated 160 lb max weight and the glossy finish on the product is nice, even if you’ll never see it once it’s installed. Assembly is a straight-forward, simple process, which is good for me because I’m about as mechanically disinclined as they come. If I can install it, _anyone_ can. Having said that, though, there are a few issues with this mount.
The primary issue is that wall studs in US construction are spaced at 16″ intervals, but the screw holes in the mount are not. So, you will only be able to get a single column of screw holes to line with a stud. The rest will need to go into drywall (assuming your walls aren’t concrete). My advice would be to go to your nearest hardware store and pick up 6-8 100 lb drywall screws. This will ensure that the frame isn’t going anywhere.
A secondary issue, and this is probably true for all non-swing wall mounts, is that you have no access to the back of the TV if you need to add a component hookup. To do so you’ll have to take the TV off the wall. Not particularly hard to do and adding components isn’t something that should happen very often, so this is a minor quibble.
Finally, the built-in level is indeed inaccurate. Mine did come with an additional level, which I used alongside my own level, one on each side of the frame, to ensure the frame was plumb. It seems like they could have saved a small amount on cost by eliminating the useless built-in level, which would also add a bit of extra rigidity to the frame as well.
Would I buy this product again? For the price, certainly. Although it would be nice if the mount holes were US standard spacing, this isn’t a deal breaker for me.
