50 LCD HD TV

- Do you think it would be better to buy a 42 inch Vizio LCD 720P TV or a 50 inch 720P Rear Projection DLP TV?
I had A 50 Inch Rear Projection DLP TV from Rent a Center before, and I really liked it because of its size, but it seemed like there was always a "smudge" look on the screen even after I cleaned it, almost like the smudge was behind the screen its self.. I know all about limited viewing angles with rear projection and all of that, I'm just wondering if you guys think that maybe I should opt for the bigger screen size, over the thin design of LCD..

A dont go 720p above 42 inches the screen wont look clear and to respond to the last answer. circuit city just bought my samsung back cuz it crapped out for the 3rd time in the past year we bought a vizio 42 inch 720p and the vizio screen (after a quick calibration which is easy to do yourself) is far better then the samsungs 1080i. im way happier with the vizio then was with the samsung. and beleive it or not most vizio reviews give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. ive attached a link to a review site with over 100 ratings on vizio http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=188805#CustomerRatings

I would like to keep it under 600 preferably 500 or under Vizio / Samsung with at least 3 HDMI Ports, every time i do a search for a TV with that Description it sends me to those new LED LCDS which is nice if i wanna spend 700-900 bucks, does any one have links of Preference? just trying to get an IDEA, and to get away from the CRT box i have (its one of those early 1080i hdtvs that weighs a ton) i also would like something with a crystal clear screen, ive seen some with really fuzzy pictures, next to one with a good picture (at walmart) lol and its kinda obvious of which one u should buy if they are only like 50 bucks apart LOL.

i have a HDTV plasma from vizio it is 50 inches and it is 1080i HDTV and i have a playstation 3 and i want to buy a HD cable so i can connect so i can see HD cause i bought a blu ray movie so i was wondering which one to buy from should i buy a HD cable from vizio or from PlayStation 3

A Buy an HDMI cable to hook up your playstion to the tv or receiver. Your Vizio tv will not display the full 1080P that Blue Ray movies put out and spent $10.00 more for the movie. Your better off buying normal DVD and save $10 towards a new tv that has 1080P. Vizio is not that good of a quality and the service support is poor. Name brand tv's like Pioneer, Panasonic, Sumsang, Toshiba and Sony have good quality and reliability than the off brand tv's. Hope this helps and good luck.

The HDTV I want is the 32" Vizio VIA XVT Razor LED LCD 1080p 120Hz HDTV. I love everything about this TV. Even the price. It's perfect for my room. I don't need anything big. Have a 50 inch TV in the living room, so I'm fine. I vaguely remember my friend telling me that when the new year starts (2012), they put all the old/current TVs on sale, to get rid of them, so they can get some new TVs on the shelves. Is this true?

A when replacement models with new features come available, yes the older stock is usually discounted... but that manufacturer might not release a new model every 6 months, or every year...

A I didn't have to read very far in the Sanyo specs to reject it. That's a 720p display on a very large screen. No way. 720p is quite satisfactory on smaller screens, maybe 37 inches max. But for large screens, if you're after HD, you're going to be far happier with a 1080p display like the Vizio has. Even though the Vizio screen is smaller, I'd still opt for that one between the 2 choices you've offered. I used to consider Vizio a low-class brand, but recent models seem to be improved. I bought a small screen Vizio 3 months ago, and it's as good as anything out there.

This will serve as the second screen on the computer more than likely. Also watching streaming websites via the Internet. I'm going with this build because I think it will last atleast 5-8 years without having to do really any upgrades in the future. What are your thoughts? $149 CPU $189 mobo Plan on spending about $50-60 for a case $60 or less on memory DVD burner $20 $75 or so on psu This will all be bought within a 2 month span as I have a comp that still works but is about 5 years old and will give to my niece. This will be used for gaming and videos/movies and downloading The deal with my wife is she helps me pay to build this and I give her $75-$100 each paycheck to put into an account for our first wedding on our 5th year marriage anniversary. A Don't get sli, it's not 100% efficient (often quite less), and very hot and noisy. Just get a good graphics card. Also, nvidia doesn't play nice with amd, so I suggest you get an intel processor (and motherboard), they're better anyways. Also, amd supports 3d graphics, almost everything does, nvidia just advertises it more. You will also need windows 7 64 bit. Buy all your parts from newegg and amazon, depending which is cheaper. Look at reviews on both.

Having terrible luck with tvs. 5 Years ago I had a vizio plasma that quit after three years due to the screen just turning black. 18 months ago I bought a samsung lcd, and it's on it's last leg. The screen takes a few moments to load up now and it has some flickering issues. I'm going to replace it with one of the following tvs. 1. Sony Bravia 46 inch LCD with 60hz for about $650. or 2. Bite on the best buy deal for the Samsung 50 inch Plasma which will cost $900 ish. Not sure which route to go. Please give me some advice. I know generally lcd is better than plasma, but with the bigger screen and 3d what should I do
